Related Products

Normally, the related products(s) will show up on the individual product page under the description. They are chosen by the store admin.

To set a product's related products

To set a product's related items, edit the product in question, click on 'Add Options' then click on 'Add Inventory'. Up to five related products can be chosen.

• Select any product from the drop-down box to set as a related item. This related item will display under the item description.
• You can select up to 5 related items.
• To remove related items, select "None" from the drop down box.

Pertinent settings

Related message

The related message is displayed above the related items.

Under Administration > Catalog Settings > Related Msg:

There needs to be text in this field; something like "You may also like". If there is no text in this field, related products will not show up.

Related image

Determines whether the related product shows up with a thumbnail image or not.

Under Administration > Catalog Settings > Related Images:

If the Related Images setting is set to 'Yes' a thumbnail image and a product link will show up otherwise just a link to the related product will be displayed.

Related Link, Related Hover colors

Under Web Sites > Fonts and Colors > Related Link: and Related Hover:

The Related Link: setting is the text color of the related product link.

The Related Hover: setting is the text color when the mouse is hovered over the related product link.

Related Products FAQ

Q: I cannot see the related product links.

A: Most likely the Related Link: setting is set to the same color as the background.

Q: I cannot see a product's related items.

A: 1) the related message is blank 2) No related products are set on this item
